When grief touches a community, a school, or a business, Children’s Grief Connection can help. In consultation with our staff of grief experts, we provide your grieving community with programs, resources, consultation, training, or education.
Our Community Grief Connection program began when a rural community suffered the tragic loss of four of its young students. Children’s Grief Connection provided extensive counsel and programming to assist the school, the staff, and the entire community as they struggled with their tremendous loss.
Our staff and volunteers are skilled in listening to the needs of grieving people. With backgrounds in grief counseling, funeral service, nursing, education, chaplaincy, and first response, our staff will provide the tools your community needs when tragedy strikes. We will help you respond to your crisis, assist you with advice and counsel, and offer programs and education for your community to develop a better understanding of grief’s impact.
All of our programming is facilitated by our Executive Director, Coral Popowitz. Coral has an extensive educational and professional background with grief and grief support and most importantly, a true passion for grieving children.
” The help and assistance we received before the anniversary was amazing. And the program we planned together for that day was beyond our expectations. We can’t thank Children’s Grief Connection enough.” -Lakeview School District Planning Member
Children’s Grief Connection programs are offered free of charge, however, in order to keep our administrative costs at a minimum, we respectfully request a donation to our organization and a reimbursement of travel expenses.
