The Calming Power of Reading-How to calm your mind in 20 minutes a day WITH book recommendations

In today’s post, our last in this series, we’ll talk about how reading as little as 20 minutes a day can improve your mental and physical health. We’ll also get recommendations from a few of our board members.

    I think you might be interested in a children’s early reader book coming out the end of Feb. on Amazon- “ Mookie and Rona.” It is a story about loss during theCoronavirus. It is not specific to the loss of a loved one but could be a gentle springboard to talking about such losses. The book opens a conversation for children to talk about their experiences – good, bad, and in-between. It is narrated by Mookie, a 5 year-old Cavachon who feels a range of emotions because of the changes in his life due to the Coronavirus. It is written by two young teens for young children.
